What is the relationship between perception and memory?
Is memory anything other than the recreation of perception?
are artefacts of perception somehow relevant to retention of information?
example: perception of a number of dots .... is it really three dots, four, or five? Is our perception and verification that of the accuracy of the perception related to the ways or number of times we must repeat an observation before it is coded into memory?
Why are three repetitions optimal? Working memory is thought limited to at most seven elements.
I am going to presume memory is simply the recreation of perception until I find a better explanation, verification of that proposition or its refutation.
Can one train up their photographic memory? If so, how?
Why do peg memory systems work so well for me but memory palaces seem pointless? Path memory systems seem possible.
